Empowering the Next Generation of Changemakers: AE x LATAM Alliance – Tourism & Sustainability Program

At Academy of Entrepreneurs, our mission has always been to equip young people with the skills, mindset, and network to create impact. This month, we proudly partnered with the LATAM Alliance to deliver an exciting and immersive Tourism + Sustainability entrepreneurship course — designed to turn big ideas into actionable business ventures.

A Course Designed for Real-World Impact

The Tourism + Sustainability course brought together students from across Latin America to explore how tourism can be a force for good. Over the program, participants learned how to:

• Identify local tourism opportunities with positive environmental and social impact.
  

• Design sustainable business models that celebrate culture, protect ecosystems, and empower communities.
  

• Pitch ideas with clarity, confidence, and creativity.
  

Our curriculum blended interactive workshops, real-world case studies, and pitch training, ensuring that every student walked away with tangible skills to launch or scale their own eco-tourism initiatives.

Innovation Meets Purpose

Throughout the program, students worked in teams to design innovative tourism experiences — from eco-friendly adventure tours to cultural immersion projects that create jobs and preserve heritage. They applied entrepreneurial frameworks, explored global trends in sustainable tourism, and built pitch decks that could be presented to real investors, accelerators, or government tourism bodies.

The Final Pitch: Turning Ideas into Action

The program culminated in a Pitch Showcase, where students presented their sustainable tourism concepts to a panel of judges, including entrepreneurs, sustainability leaders, and industry mentors.

The room buzzed with creativity and energy as projects highlighted:

• Regenerative tourism models that give back more than they take.

• Locally led eco-initiatives empowering indigenous communities.

• Tourism experiences designed to protect natural and cultural assets.

The judges were deeply impressed by the students’ vision, strategy, and ability to blend purpose with profitability.
