Empowering Indigenous Futures: AE and Guatemalan Leaders Meet in Canberra

ree

In a powerful gathering held in Canberra, the Academy of Entrepreneurs’ CEO—who also serves as the Honorary Consul of Guatemala for New South Wales—met with Her Excellency Laura Jazmín Cotí Lux, Deputy Vice Minister of Cultural and Natural Heritage of Guatemala, to set bold new goals for Indigenous empowerment through entrepreneurship. This high-level dialogue focused on co-designing innovative programs that honour ancestral knowledge while creating sustainable economic opportunities for Indigenous communities across Guatemala.

Together, they explored how AE’s entrepreneurial education model—rooted in empowerment, innovation, and cultural preservation—can be tailored to equip Indigenous youth with the tools and mindset to become changemakers within their communities and beyond.

As part of AE’s philanthropic initiatives, this collaboration will include a donation from AE to directly support Indigenous communities in Guatemala—reinforcing our commitment to inclusive growth and cross-cultural solidarity. The path forward is clear: co-create lasting impact with Indigenous communities, driven by dignity, heritage, and opportunity.
