Empowering Young Changemakers: Branding & Digital Marketing Masterclass at AIS Jakarta

This week, 79 bright students from Australian International School Jakarta joined a hands-on Startup Branding and Digital Marketing Masterclass — an action-packed day designed to ignite their entrepreneurial spark.


The session was led by Josef, an AE Teacherpreneur specializing in high school entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and innovation, together with Cris, the inspiring founder of Rescue 2000 — an award-winning NGO that built over 100 homes for families living in poverty through viral TikTok campaigns.


Step 1: Building a Brand with Purpose

Students began the day by crafting their value proposition — the heart of any strong brand. They explored:

  • Branding perceptions & storytelling

  • Target audience mapping

  • Personal vs. business branding

  • Crafting a unique message that connects emotionally


Step 2: Un Poco Logo — AI-Powered Logo Design

Using AI logo generators, students designed their own company logos. They learned:

  • The psychology of colors and shapes

  • How visual identity impacts trust and engagement

  • How to transform a business name into a recognizable brand

This hands-on activity gave students their first tangible brand asset — a logo they can use for future projects.


Step 3: Social Media Spotlight — Instagram & TikTok

With Cris sharing his real-world success using TikTok to mobilize communities, students explored:

  • Social media branding fundamentals

  • Instagram branding tips

  • How customer online habits influence campaigns

  • Creating scroll-stopping content with purpose


The energy in the room skyrocketed as students brainstormed campaign ideas to make real impact.


Step 4: Mastering Newsletters & Digital Campaigns

Students then transformed their ideas into marketing strategies, learning:

  • Online marketing strategies

  • Digital marketing channels (email, word-of-mouth, social)

  • How to write headline-grabbing newsletters

  • How to launch their first campaign using Mailchimp


Step 5: Make Your WIX!

The masterclass wrapped up with students building their first business websites using Wix. They discovered how a website can:

  • Showcase their brand

  • Act as a 24/7 marketing tool

  • Bring their entrepreneurial ideas to life online

Turning Ideas into Action


By the end of the session, students left with:

  • A clear brand identity

  • A social media strategy

  • A live website

  • And, most importantly, the confidence to launch their own ventures.


This masterclass is part of the Academy of Entrepreneurs’ mission to empower young people to become changemakers — turning creative ideas into powerful impact.
