AE’s Inspiring Visit to Bosowa School: Connecting Entrepreneurship with the UN Development Goals! 🌍🚀

Academy of Entrepreneurs

Makassar is home to bold thinkers, passionate learners, and future changemakers, and nowhere was that energy more evident than at Bosowa School, where Academy of Entrepreneurs (AE) had the honor of hosting an inspiring masterclass with over 50+ students!

Led by our CEO, Paula, the session went beyond business basics—it was a deep dive into how entrepreneurship can drive real impact, using the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a framework for solving global challenges.

🌍 The Big Question: Can Entrepreneurs Change the World?

From the start, Paula posed a powerful question:

"What if your business wasn’t just about making money, but about making a difference?"

At first, the students hesitated. Could they, as high schoolers, really create businesses that tackle climate change, poverty, education gaps, and economic inequality?

The answer? Absolutely!

💡 Entrepreneurship as a Force for Good

Paula walked the students through real-world examples of entrepreneurs who started impact-driven businesses that align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), proving that innovation and business can go hand in hand to create a better future for all.

Students learned how entrepreneurship can:

Reduce inequalities by creating jobs and opportunities for marginalized communities.

Improve education through startups that offer online learning and skill development.

Tackle environmental issues with sustainable businesses that reduce waste and pollution.

End poverty by building social enterprises that empower local economies.

🚀 From Theory to Action: Students Pitch Their Impact-Driven Business Ideas

Once their minds were filled with big ideas, it was time to turn inspiration into action!

Students were split into teams and challenged to:

  • Choose one SDG that they cared about most.

  • Brainstorm a business idea that could solve a real-world problem within that goal.

  • Present their entrepreneurial solution in under two minutes.

The room buzzed with excitement as students pitched ideas ranging from eco-friendly tourism projects to tech-driven solutions for education access. Each idea showcased a fresh perspective, proving that these students are ready to become the next generation of impact-driven entrepreneurs!

🔥 The Energy & Takeaways

One of the most powerful moments came when a student confidently said:

"I never thought about business this way. Now, I see that entrepreneurship isn’t just about money—it’s about solving problems and making the world better."

That’s exactly what AE is all about—shifting mindsets, unlocking potential, and showing students that their ideas have the power to create lasting change.

🌟 Bosowa School’s Future Changemakers

Makassar is filled with incredible young minds, and our visit to Bosowa School made it clear: these students are ready to step up, take action, and create businesses that make an impact.

As AE continues its journey, we can’t wait to see what these future leaders build next. Whether it’s tackling climate change, education, or economic growth, one thing is certain—the future of entrepreneurship in Makassar is bright! 🚀✨
