The Academy of Entrepreneurs proudly hosted its first Study Tour for students from Makassar, Indonesia, bringing together future changemakers for a 5-day immersive journey into innovation, leadership, and global entrepreneurship in Sydney, Australia.
From visits to world-class companies to hands-on masterclasses and inspiring mentorship, the program was designed to ignite creativity, critical thinking, and leadership in every participant.
DAY 1 Arrival in Sydney & First Impressions
The adventure began with the students’ arrival in Sydney, followed by a visit to one of the city’s most iconic landmarks — the Sydney Opera House. After a warm welcome dinner at Circular Quay, students soaked in the vibrant atmosphere of the city and prepared for the week ahead.
DAY 2
Critical Thinking, Global Goals & Creativity
The second day kicked off with a hearty breakfast with their fellow students, followed by an interactive masterclass on Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Over lunch at campus, students reflected on how they can contribute to global challenges through innovation. The day ended with a Creativity Masterclass — where participants explored how to find their purpose and create a positive impact through their careers.
A fun evening of late-night shopping gave them a taste of local Sydney life.
DAY 3
Tech Meets Entrepreneurship
On Friday, students walked to the headquarters of Amazon for an exclusive talk with Fatema and an AI/Cloud Leader, who shared insights on building a career in STEM and technology-driven industries.
After an inspiring morning, they visited Macquarie University to learn about high school pathways to global university enrolments and future academic opportunities.
DAY 4
STEM & Social Impact Entrepreneurship
Saturday focused on practical innovation. Students participated in a STEM Masterclass and learned how to write a business plan for social impact using AI.
They also visited the Consulate General of the Republic of Croatia in Sydney for a special Masterclass dedicated to students from Athirah High School, connecting diplomacy and entrepreneurship.
DAY 5
Leadership, Communication & Mentorship
The final day featured a Communication and Problem-Solving Masterclass, where students discovered how to present like global leaders.
The program concluded with a mentoring session, where students reflected on their learnings, pitched their future plans, and built connections to continue their entrepreneurial journey.
And then they each pitched a business idea for a social enterprise to launch in Makassar.
