AE Launches First-Ever Kenyan Program to Empower Girls into Social Impact Entrepreneurs

This month, 80 bright and bold Grade 9 students at Kianda School in Kenya are stepping into their power as change-makers through the Academy of Entrepreneurs' transformative masterclass: Pitch Your Future.
Designed to ignite a spirit of ethical leadership, purpose-driven innovation, and community-centered action, this two-part masterclass brings together faith, entrepreneurship, and service. It is more than a class—it is a call to lead.
Masterclass Objectives
Pitch Your Future is a launchpad for values-driven entrepreneurship. Through this immersive experience, students will:
Discover entrepreneurship as a tool to serve others and improve society.
Build real-world problem-solving and leadership capabilities.
Cultivate compassion and action rooted in community needs.
Experience the power of the Boss Your Future methodology.
Embrace ethical business through the lens of faith and the teachings of St. Josemaría Escrivá.
A Journey of Purpose: The Masterclass Agenda
Session 1: Foundations of Entrepreneurship & Holiness in Work
Students begin by exploring the power of entrepreneurship as a vehicle for good. Through engaging discussions and case studies, including the teachings of St. Josemaría Escrivá, they learn how sanctity can be found in daily work.
Activities Include:
Identifying real-world problems and reframing them as opportunities.
Exploring the intersection of business and social impact.
Group ideation: Listing 10 local challenges and developing 10 business models to address them, anchored by a compelling "what if you had $1B?" exercise.
Session 2: Business Development & Storytelling
In the second session, students dive into business modeling and communication. They bring their ideas to life with tools like the Business Model Canvas and sharpen their storytelling skills to prepare for global collaboration.
Activities Include:
Creating faith-inspired business models.
Learning the art of pitching with authenticity and impact.
Recording a 90-second video pitch to share with a global network of young entrepreneurs.
Recognition That Fuels Purpose
Every participant will receive a certificate of completion, with the most compelling ideas earning a Best Pitch 2025 Certificate and an opportunity to pitch at our Global Pitch Competition in Semester 2.
Kianda School will also be recognized as an AE Partner School, reflecting its commitment to pioneering faith-based innovation in education.
